Last updated: September 4, 2025

This privacy policy explains how we use personal data collected through the Hillraiser section of the Tri Surrey website when you connect your Strava account.

What We Collect

When you connect your Strava account, we collect and store:

  • Your Strava athlete ID
  • Your first name, last name, and gender
  • Details of your rides that include official Hillraiser segments, including:
    • Segment effort times
    • Ride dates and titles
    • Publicly visible performance data

We do not collect your private location data (e.g. GPS tracks, start/end points), messages, or information from activities you’ve marked as private in Strava.

How We Use It

We use your data solely to:

  • Calculate your position in the Hillraiser league
  • Display league standings to authenticated Tri Surrey members
  • Maintain a seasonal archive of results

Your data is not shared outside of this purpose or made public beyond the club website.

Who Can See Your Data

Only authenticated Tri Surrey members who:

  • Are registered via Strava login, and
  • Are confirmed members of the private Tri Surrey Strava club

can view league standings, which include names, gender, and segment times.

How to Remove Your Data

You can remove your data at any time by:

  • Revoking access to the Tri Surrey app in your Strava account settings, or
  • Clicking the “Disconnect” link on the website

Once revoked, your data will be removed from our database and your efforts will no longer be counted in future leaderboards.
